Gregory P Rowe, DPM
Dr. Rowe was raised in S.L.C., UT as the youngest of six children. He led an active life playing multiple sports. He developed a good work ethic by working along side his parents and older siblings. He graduated from the University of Utah in 2006, with a BS in Exercise Physiology.
He attended the New York College of Podiatric Medicine in NYC, NY, and graduated in 2011. He completed a 3-year foot and ankle reconstructive surgical residency in Upstate NY, where he was elected as the Chief resident during his third year.
Dr. Rowe was chosen to do an additional year of rigorous fellowship training in southern NM. The American Foundation of Lower Extremity Surgery and Research is an ACFAS recognized foot and ankle surgery & reconstructive fellowship, and one of the best lower extremity surgical fellowships in the nation. He was trained extensively in reconstructive foot, ankle and leg surgical correction, with emphasis in ankle arthroscopy, total ankle replacements, diabetic Charcot reconstruction, and traumatic injuries of the lower extremity. He was given the Top Surgeon award from the American Foundation of Lower Extremity Surgery and Research in 2015.
After his fellowship was completed in 2015, he practiced with a podiatry group in Northern NM for a year and a half.
Dr. Rowe has worked hard towards his dream of owning his own practice. He was able to accomplish this dream in 2017, when he purchased AACI Foot, Leg and Ankle Care Centers.
He is very dedicated to his profession and education. He has presented multiple times at national conferences. He has co-authored published research studies and articles on various topics. He continues to strive to better his profession and those around him.
Dr. Rowe is a triathlete. In 2010, he designed and completed an Ironman length triathlon in Bear Lake, UT. He and His wife designed and completed a half-Ironman length triathlon in the summer of 2016 in Bear Lake, UT. He continues to enter triathlons, cycling and running races, and enjoys motivating his patients, through his example, to live a healthy and active lifestyle.
He is happily married, with four lovely daughters and a wonderful son. He speaks Portuguese and Spanish.
Ellie Thornton - Receptionist
Ellie was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona and is actually Austin’s younger sister. She was a cheerleader at Mountain View High School and graduated in 2016. As a cheerleader, during her junior year, her and 3 other teammates won a USA National title in Anaheim, California for their four-man stunt group.
After high school, she attended school at Mesa Community College to attain pre-requisite courses for a degree in Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ultrasound). She is currently applying to ultrasound schools in AZ and UT and hopes to start school again in the fall.
Austin Thornton - Medical Assistant
Austin was born and raised in Mesa, Arizona and is the second oldest of four children. Growing up, he lived an active lifestyle and unfortunately, broke 14 bones and had 2 surgeries all before he graduated from Mountain View High school. All of these injuries are what sparked his interest in medicine.
After High School, Austin moved to Washington D.C. for 2 years where he volunteered all of his time to serving and helping others. After that 2 years, he moved back to Mesa where he married his best friend from childhood.
Austin is currently working towards a degree in kinesiology, and is planning on attending medical school shortly after completion of his degree.
